In robotics, actuation systems are generally divided into two types: motor-driven and hydraulic-driven, with motor-driven being the most common. Among the motors used in robots, DC geared motors are the most prevalent. Below we introduce Donghong's planetary geared brushless DC motor BLDC4260+G — a design that combines a planetary gearbox with a brushless DC motor. The DC power supply allows the motor to be powered by batteries, which is precisely why brushless DC motors are so widely used in robotic applications.
